Today’s plan is to sail back into Turkey to the port of Fethiye where we can do the immigration and customs paperwork for entry into Turkey and also reunite with “Pamina Blue”
We planned to get away at 9am, but decided to leave about 10 mins early as we noticed an number of ferries and gulets loading passengers, all for departures at 9am. Rhodes is not a large port, so in will be chaotic when they all decide to leave at once.
We slipped our lines and recovered our anchor without any issue and set sail for turkey. We were sailing directly into a light breeze, and after a while it became clear we would take all day, plus some, if we sailed without assistance, so we motor sailed much of the way, arriving at the marina at around 3.30pm. The distance is about 42 nm.
On the way across, Joy decided to cook her famous salmon rissoles for lunch ( we only had tuna as it seems impossible to buy canned salmon in Turkey), so it was tuna rissoles and salad for lunch, most enjoyable.

On arrival at the marina we had to stand by to be escorted to our berth, and once tied up, the customs agent appeared to collect our documents for processing. A few hours and 300 Tl later the entry requirements were completed and we had our passports back. Today in Fethiye is a scorcher with the temperature well into the 40’s.

It was decided to walk to the fish market for dinner, about 1 km away, where the market is surrounded by restaurants whom source their produce from the market.
