24th June 2011
Today is our last day sailing, before having to return the boats to Gocek marina, (before 5pm), so the charter company can go through inspection and debriefing before we officially hand the boats over tomorrow morning.
We were hoping for a nice breeze, so we could enjoy a good sail but, alas, it never got over 4 knots, so we motored our way around.
We left Wall Bay at around 10am, heading for Boynuzbuku, a little over half way to Gocek in the Fethiye Gulf.
We rafted up the 3 boats, with a stern line to the shore, and prepared for a lunch time feast to devour as much as we could of the seemingly endless supply of food on board. It was also a wonderful place to swim, possibly the best we have been to.

Everyone was reluctant to leave after lunch, as just about everyone was in the water, but we managed to get away a bit after 2pm, to head to Gocek.
Swimming was excellent
First we had to refuel the boats at a different marina to our final destination, and it had the most inaccessible fuel wharf for boats of our size that I have seen. Nevertheless we all got the task completed, and headed off to Skopea Marina, tied up and waited for the team from Offshore Yachting to come and finalise our charter. They we very professional with their inspection, furling out the sails to check for damage and diving under the boat to inspect the keel , rudder and propeller for damage. We all got the all clear by around 5pm.
After such a big lunch , the “Risus” crew stayed on board for dinner and ate leftovers. Most of the others went into town for a light meal.
Cheese and bickies on board
It was also Brian and Gail's 44th wedding anniversary today which called for an extra celebratory drink,
Macca even bought Gail a rose
