10th June 2011
Today we are off to Marmaris to catch up with the rest of our group and get organized for getting aboard our yachts tomorrow. We arrived in Marmaris around midday and after settling in to the hotel went for a walk to have a look around and lunch.

Marmaris is very touristy, set up mainly for British tourists and lacks the charm of the previous destinations. It is a bit like Surfers Paradise. We are just thankful we are not here in peak season.
The beachfront lined with restaurants and bars
We found a boutique wine shop near the hotel and promptly went in for a tasting, as we have struggled to find any memorable wines so far.
At around 3pm the rest of the team arrived at the hotel, the Wesslinks, de Boos, and Carole’s brother David with family and crew.
We had a cold beer ast the beachfront before dinner at the restaurant associated with the wine shop, and managed to have some nicer wines with dinner which we subsequently ordered to take on the boat with us. We are a bit worried that they don’t have enough stock, but guess we will find out in the morning.
